Das Netzwerk Migration erhält seit 2006/2007 eine Betriebskosten- finanzierung von der Europäischen Union.
With the support of the European Union: Support for organisations active at European level in the field of active European citizenship.
The project “One-Stop-Shop: A New Answer for Immigrant Integration” was financed within the framework of the INTI-Fond of the European Commission (General Management for Judiciary, Freedom and Security (Generaldirektion für Justiz, Freiheit und Sicherheit)). The Network Migration in Europe e. V. had been a part of this from 2007-2009. The project was led by the Portuguese High Commission for Immigration and Intercultural Dialogue (Portugiesische Hohe Kommission für Immigration und Interkulturellen Dialog).
The aim of this project was the discussion of a possible transferability of the One-Stop-Approach onto other European countries. The model of the Portuguese One-Stop-Shops offers help to individuals regarding integration measures at one central place. Within the succession of the project, roundtables in Essen and Berlin were organised with the help of the non-profit Hertie Foundation and the Mercator Foundation. There they discussed the concepts with practitioners of integration work. The handbook “Handbook on How to Implement a One-Stop-Shop for Immigrant Integration” was one result of the project (Downloads also in German and other languages possible).
