Dominik Meier

Born 1969, since 2003 Partner at the European Affairs Consulting Group (eacon) s.p.r.l, Brussels, Berlin. Since 1997 the Managing Partner of the political and project consultants Miller und Meier Consulting. Consultancy work has been performed for numerous EU Migration Projects in conjunction with STOP and Odysseus, cooperating with international organisations, NGO’s, governments and parliaments in EU member states and other countries as well studies undertaken on the subjects of migration and asylum policy, combating the international trade in people and integration for various international organisations. Other major areas of consultancy include European, foreign and development policy, humanitarian aid, human rights and sustainability. During the course of his 10 years as a consultant, Dominik Meier has carried out numerous projects in for Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, Central Asia, southern Africa and the Middle East. Dominik Meier has a degree in sociology, history and theology from the University of Freiburg and studied for a year at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales and the Sorbonne in Paris. During his studies he worked in the European Parliament, the German Bundestag and for international organisations in the areas of development policy, human rights and migration.
