Dr. Olaf Beuchling

Dr. Olaf Beuchling studied Education, Religious Studies and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Hamburg (Germany). After receiving his PhD, Dr. Beuchling taught primarily Comparative Education and Intercultural Education at the Otto-von-Guericke University of Magdeburg, University of Leipzig and University of Barcelona. Recently, he teaches at the Center for Buddhist Studies and the Department of Education, University Hamburg (Germany). He is also an independend researcher, consultant and lecturer. With June 2012, his list of publications consists of four books and 41 academic articles and chapters in publishing houses such as Cambridge University Press or Waxmann. Among his expertise and research interests is minority education (for example, on Vietnamese migrants and Roma in Europe and in comparative perspective), ethnicity, buddhist diaspora, ethnographic methods, as well as boys in educational institutions.
