Expert

Dr. Anne von Oswald

Born 1963, Dr. Phil., 1983-1989 studied History and Social Sciences at the Universities of Perugia and Milan (Italy). In 1994 she received her PhD at the Free University in Berlin with a thesis on "The german industry in Italy, 1882-1945". From 1994 to 1998 she was research fellow at the Free University Berlin, where she worked on labour migration in Germany. She taught at the Free University Berlin, the Humboldt University Berlin and the University of Applied Sciences, Berlin. She is cofounder and board member of Network Migration in Europe e.V., a non-goverment organisation doing research and political and European citizenship education. Her main working fields are: European migration and integration policies, human rights and (forced) migration in Europe´s past and present, Migration and Diversity. She is the editor of the Migration Expert Database and co-editor of the Information Portal "Migration Citzenship Education" (www.migrationeducation.org).
