Prof. Jane Freedman

I am currently Marie Curie Chair in the Centre de Recherches Politiques, Université de Paris 1, Sorbonne. I am also a member of the steering group of the TERRA network (Travaux, Etudes et Recherches sur les Réfugiés et l´Asile). I have been researching migration for many years and my research has focused on national and European immigration and asylum policies, gender and migration, gender in asylum and refugee policies. I have worked with UNHCR and various NGOs as a consultant relating to immigration and asylum policies and programmes. I have recently completed a research project for the UNHCR on gender and asylum and refugee policy in France; and another project for the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network on Violence Against Migrant Women in the Euro-Med Region.
