assoc. prof. Anna Krasteva

Anna Krasteva is founder and director of CERMES (Centre for European Refuges Migration and Ethnic Studies) at the New BulgarianUniversity (www.cerms.info). She has numerous publications on migration, ethnicity, identities in Bulgaria, France, Sweden, Italy, US, UK, etc.; she is member of the editorial board of the international journal Nationalism and ethnic politics and editor in chief of Journal Southeastern Europe. A. Krasteva teaches ethnic and migration policy at the New Bulgarian University, she has given lectures and has been guest professor at Institute of political sciences in Paris, Institute of political sciences in Lille, the Universities of Vienna, Bologna, Sarajevo, Paris 8, Metz, Ecole Normale Superieure in Lyon, etc. She directs and takes part in several research projects on migration and ethnicity, including a project within 6thFP. She organizes also several public forums, round tables and debates on multicultural issues.
