Frauke Miera, Dr. phil., 1993 Diplom in Politikwissenschaften, Freie Universität Berlin, 2004 Promotion zum Thema „Migration aus Polen nach Deutschland seit 1945. Vom Systemkonflikt zu Prozessen der Transnationalisierung und Community-Bildung“. 1995-1998 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeit am Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung, anschließend freiberufliche Tätigkeit in Forschung und Lehre zum Thema Migration und Integration, u.a. Internationale Frauenuniversität e.V., Hannover, Otto-Suhr-Institut, FU Berlin.
Ausstellungstätigkeit am Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, Bonn (2000-2002), und am Deutschen Historischen Museum Berlin (2004-2005) (Ausstellung: Zuwanderungsland Deutschland. Migrationen 1500-2005).
Forschungstätigkeit im Projekt “MIGSYS Immigrants, policies and migration systems ” (International Metropolis Network and the Population, Migration and Environment, 2006-2007), Frühjahr 2006 Gastwissenschaftlerin an der University of Southampton, UK, wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Europa-Universität Viadrina, Frankfurt (Oder), Mitarbeit im EU-Forschungsprojekt “EMILIE – A European Approach to Multicultural Citizenship: Legal, political and educational challenges” (RP6 – Europäische Kommission, GD Forschung, 2006-2009) (emilie.eliamep.gr).
